Open House at Pam's

Pam hosted an open house for her friend a few weekends ago and it was great fun.
Great food!

See that gorgeous silver star on the top of that tree - had to have it - you will see it on the top of my Christmas tree this year.  Pam's house was decorated with all the items for sell -- everything was beautiful.
These are coolers - I bought the orange one and love it!

Halloween in St Louis

We headed west to be with the kids for Halloween.  They were glad to finally meet Annabelle.
Playing with Daddy.
Alex mean face and wild hair.

Getting ready for school on Friday.

Meg was Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.
So cute!
Alex - Wolverine.
They dressed in their costumes for a party and parade at their school.
Annabelle stayed here and in her kennel during the stay, she was very good - only one accident.  Our last night she got excited and peed on the sofa and on Amy!! Not good.
Walking to the school bus stop.
We met Amy at the kids school for the Halloween party.  She had this huge bag of popcorn she was given from her job.
Outside on the school wall.
Alex in his classroom doorway.
Kids lined up to go outside for the parade.
So many cute costumes.
Alex with his teacher Ms. Wichenhauser - she is very cute and very young - this is her second year of teaching.
Amy is a room mother and organized this party - she is so amazing and busy, busy.  She also does Brownies with the 5 year olds.
The twins with 2 kids in their class that live in their neighborhood.
The kids decorated pumpkins.
Friday night we took the kids to a hotel and spent the night - so much fun.  We stayed at a Drury Inn - free dinner and breakfast buffet.....
popcorn machine....
and a indoor pool and hot tub.
We were the only ones at the pool for quite a while...then a few other families came.
We all were tired and had a good night's rest.
Some of Alex's guys looking over us.
Annabelle enjoyed it too.
Getting ready for Trick or Treat.
Annabelle was to be Toto but she wasn't very cooperative  - this is her Bee costume.
Lots of goodies.
Going to school on Monday.
Dave and I went to their shcool and read to the kids - there are 10 boys and 4 girls in their class.  Kindergarden in St. Louis is 1/2 day - they catch the bus at 12 noon and come home at 4:00.
We read this book.  We were impressed with the school.  The kids love it and Paul and Amy volunteer a lot to help out.  We had so much fun meeting and spending time with the twins classmates.
It was great spending some time with the twins and their new school and friends.
Alex trying on a mask Dave bought.
Alex with a neighborhood friend.
I made Meg some pom poms.
This hat I made for Alex was too short - must make another one.
Meighan's hat and poncho fit.
I hated to leave these little guys, but we will be back soon.
The weather was very rainy on the way home.  We found a new flea/antique market in Beckley West Virginia.
Lots of good stuff.
Vintage sewing, knitting items.
I had to have this vintage sewing box - many booths had 40 and 50 % off their items.
Traffic once we got on the interstate to Roanoke.  There was a football game Thursday night... We decided to watch the game at Wild Wings  -  we were tired and the weather was suspicious.
We had fun..the Hokies won!!
