Summer Fun

We went to Pocohantas Park two times when the twins were here.  They love it.  This was the first year Alex went down the water slides.  He had so much fun and was so proud of himself.  He must have gone 50 times - I lost count.
Annabelle in her new dress.
Meg and I had fun painting our nails with some new crazy colors.
We made this Sand Cake for our company.
The kids having fun in the pool with Alissa (my pet groomer's daughter).

Cute little dress and hairband we found at Marshall's for $5.
New bathing suit.
Alex dresses up in his costumes every day.
He also dresses up the dogs.
Playing games.
Adding sprinkles to her ice cream cone.

The kids enjoyed going next door and playing on this activity area that our neighbor built recently.
A family of birds made a nest in the rose bush in the front yard.
We went to our favorite chinese restaurant.
They really love each other.
Busy, busy, busy and loving every minute of it.
Finished reading this book recently.

We are having so much fun with the twins.  They have grown up so much in the last year and have behaved very well.  After church on Sunday we went to Friendly's for lunch.  Meighan had this huge cotton candy drink.
Alex had strawberry milk.
We came home and played and then went swimming in the late afternoon.  Plus we worked in the garden a little bit and picked some veggies.
Had some cold, delish watermelon.
On Monday Meg and I had some girl time. We went shopping and out to lunch.  I will have to share some of our July 4th deals we got today.  I didn't get a chance to take pictures of our great finds today.
Meg finally let me put her hair up in a pony tail  - she looked so cute.
To celebrate July 4th we headed to the baseball stadium in Richmond for the Squirrel's game and for the fireworks following the game - we were all excited.
Crazy girl.
Sorry for the bad picture.
We ate plenty - cotton candy, chicken, hot dogs, pretzel, chips, candy corn - we all shared.
The sky started to get dark as soon as the game started.
Things just got worse.
Starting pouring.
A lot of people left - we moved up under the cover.
It just didn't get any better.  No fire works tonight. A lot of the area firework displays were canceled.  We waited until the rain slacked up a bit and walked to the car.
As soon as it started raining this tarp was put over the field.  Oh well we still had fun.  On the way home we had ice cream at Sweet Frogs.  It was a great day.  Hope everyone had a great 4th!
