Overnight Visit With Aidan

Aidan spent Friday night with us. After going to Gino's for dinner we came home and played a little pool.
Grandpa took Aidan to Dollar Tree after dinner while I ran in Ukrop's to pick up a few things. This is some kind of candy in a tube?

I definitely need to practice more.

Another purchase from the Dollar Tree.

Cute little monkey.

I guess they did grow a little overnight.

Kari had surgery on her foot last week, so we baked some goodies for her. These are Strawberry Cupcakes.
Love this pink color. Some of the cupcakes have Strawberry Icing and some have Cream Cheese Icing.

I made one of our favorite recipes....Baked Spaghetti.

I doubled all the ingredients - dinner for Kari and her family and dinner for me and Dave.

This is the only spaghetti I have made for a few years now. Delicious and not too much work.
One ready to go and one ready for our dinner.
Here is the recipe:

Paula's recipe is the best - one of my family's favorites!

Headed West Again

We are headed to St. Louis to celebrate and have some time with Meighan and Alex for their 4th birthday (March 4)----can't wait We had dinner at this restaurant the night we arrived - very good barbecue.

So glad to be here.

Fun at the Park

St Louis has great parks! The weather was warm and sunny so that is where we headed.

The higher the better, for them anyway - I still get nervous.

Thrift Shopping

Amy and I had a few hours to ourselves to go shopping Saturday morning - thrift shopping, which is my latest most favorite thing to do. This Goodwill is like no other Goodwill I have been to. Very nice store and many items are new - from Target (they must have some type of deal with them). I could spend a lot of time here but we needed to move on... to check out other thrift stores Amy had found.

Really BIG!

This was a very nice thrift store. We also went to a used bookstore that is in the same strip mall that has a cross stitch store that I found on our last visit. Amy also found a knit store for me- "Kirkwood Knittery". I will share some of the goodies that I found in a later post.

To The Movies and The Mall

After Amy and I had a few hours to "shop" Dave and I took the kids to see a movie "Dog Hotel" - it was very good and the kids enjoyed it. After the movie we headed to the mall for some fun.

Think he is having fun?

Birthday Bowling Fun!

We took the kids bowling - a new adventure!

After bowling Paul made us a great dinner - macaroni and cheese and....

chicken, very delicious.

Thanks Paul.
