Update - it has been a while.

The twins were here for a short visit:

These guys love bubbles!

and blowing bubbles....

and blowing bubbles!

Meighan is quite the "Miss Personality"

They love playing in the truck.

Not sure what she is giving Papa?

Dave has been walking this path a lot lately.

The pooches - Bandit had a hair cut and he looks like a different dog.

One of my favorite annuals "Cleome"

Another favorite - "Zinnias" - they bring a lot of color to the garden.

This is why Dave has been walking that path so many times - he has been putting a fence around our garden - not only to keep the deer out but I really like picket fences. It is just about finished, he is making the gate NOW! Once he gets a project going he won't stop until it is done. He is doing a great job - I LOVE IT!!!!

Dave has painted many a picket!

I love this little gnome - he is from Target.

Dave made this compost bin at the end of the garden. I can't put garbage down the disposal anymore!

Another view of the compost bin. Those sections are removable so I can get to contents easily to turn the compost mixture and put it in the garden easily. Now, is that a patient man or what??? He drilled out 20 sections to slip the slats in... I didn't even ask him to, he just did it. I had a similar compost bin years ago that I bought, but it was not nearly as nice as this one.

See those little bumpy things - those are brussel sprouts! I have never tried growing brussel sprouts before. The plants have grown so big and haven't looked very good, but all of a sudden it looks like we are going to have bs (brussel sprouts) after all.

These are the bs plants - big aren't they?

The fence!

A gourd peeking through.

The cabbage plants are getting bigger.

This crow looks over the garden --

Food:
I made sherbert, one of Dave's favorites-this is berry-pretty color don't you think? Dave said it was as good as Brewsters. I want to try lime next time.

This was a great dinner - "Chicken in Sour Cream Sauce".

Steak! My favorite. This had a good flavor but it was a little tough. Those baked potatoes fries with onion, bacon bits and sour cream were to die for.

We love having dinner on the front porch, mainly because we have the ceiling fans which help beat the 95 degree weather.

Pasta - I love pasta. I usually make Paula Dean's Baked Spaghetti, but this was a last minute thought. Just a simple sauce over vermicilli.
