I have really missed my babies!!!
We are finally home for a weekend and the twins spent the night. A lot going on!!!
Recently the kids have discovered we have a room upstairs and they love spending time there. They are trying out the treadmill with Papa.

Eating dinner at their little table. That's Daddy in the back ground.
Meighan's new high top pink tennis shoes. So cute on her.
I love that Meg is such a girlie- girl, but also a very adventurous/tomboyish kind of girl. She is checking out her.........

The kids love being in Mama and Papa's big bed!

As soon as we get home, these guys can't wait to get in their "car". They are a just a little too small to master driving yet. It won't be long.
They both want to be at the "wheel" but they are very good at sharing--sometimes.
Orange Effect!
Isn't he handsome, even though the car isn't very masculine??? He likes it anyway.
A Little Knitting
I am trying to get a little knitting in. I started this little pumpkin hat, but it just didn't turn out right so I started a new one -I will post it soon, hopefully.
This little hat will be sent to our family's most recent arrival, along with a cupcake hat and the pumpkin hat (just in time for Halloween, I hope)
Dinner with the Pessarra's
We had dinner at Lance and Kari's. They were babysitting Samara and Aidan so we got to see all of Dave's grandbabies!
Fall Cooking
I love to cook and bake in the fall but I haven't done much since we have been out of town so much. But I have done a little:

Then you just flop the dough on a baking sheet and shape. Sprinkle with chopped rosemary and a little salt.

I made a new bread that I have been wanting to try. It is from a book I got at the library - "No Need to Knead." Very easy to make and delicious: FOCACCIA - pronounced foe-ca-cha, it is a flat oven baked bread. The word is derived from the Latin focus meaning "centre" and also "fireplace" - the fireplace was in the centre of the domestic house, and this bread was baked in the hearth.
Just mix up all the ingredients and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour.
While the dough was rising, I went to the garden and got my favorite herb to put on top of the bread. Rosemary:
The dough after rising.
Then you just flop the dough on a baking sheet and shape. Sprinkle with chopped rosemary and a little salt.
Baking!
YUM! It was really good with the Pea Soup I made in the crock pot -- a perfect autumn meal.
Catching up in the fall.
We have been very busy this fall and I have been a bad blogger, so here is an update. We went to the Va. Tech home games 3 weeks in a row. The Hokies won every game. Their first away game against LSU is their only loss so far. They played Clemson Saturday and we watched it on TV and were very happy that we had another win. The last game we went to we stopped at the Walmart in Bedford and we spotted another Hokie fan. This van was too cute:
Dave was out in the parking lot while I was in shopping; we saw the owners of this van as we were leaving the store and they asked us about our car (we had the Hokie Dots all over our car - I will have to take a picture and post it. I didn't think Dave would like 50 orange and burgandy dots all over the car but he does. But compared to this we had nothing! Note the "turkey tracks" on the bumper.
A rear view. Va Tech fans go way out.
