I worked on this during the long drive - a spiderman afghan for Alex for his new room at his new home.....he is taking the news pretty well. Meighan is having a little bit harder time - she doesn't want to leave her friends....of course.
We stopped at this neat rest area on the way to St. Louis. I enjoyed a picnic lunch and the dogs had some good outside time in West Virginia. It was a gorgeous day and the view wasn't bad either.
We arrived St. Louis Saturday night. Amy and Paul left Sunday morning - and we headed out to enjoy the day - we visited 4 parks...
Meighan ran into a friend from her school - her first grade buddy = Samantha.
Alex still loves Spider Man..
We practiced reading homework!Neighbor, Evan came by every morning to walk to the bus stop with us.Evan's little sister, Peyton only 4 came out to play in the afternoon.Another neighborhood friend, Nathan came over to play.
We had artichokes for dinner one night - Meg was a fan, me too, the guys not so much.Meg and I went to her favorite ice cream shop - it was yummy but I still prefer Sweet Frogs back home.
Good news - Amy and Paul found a condo they will rent, 19 miles from where Amy works. Her office is in McClean and their condo is in Reston. The movers will come and pick up their things on June 1. They will head for Richmond and be here on June 2. The kids will be with us that week while Paul and Amy wait for the movers and get settled in their new home. We will take the kids up north when they are settled. YEAH!!!!!
