We headed to Virginia Beach for the beach music festival on May 19. The weather wasn't very good the first 2 days, but by Saturday the weather was great. Some of our favorite beach bands performed. We went to "Stepping Out" on Thursday night, a local dance club and reallyenjoyed it. So much so we went back on Friday night, but it was a little disappointing. The band wasn't very good and there weren't many people so we left early. 
This is the second year we have stayed at the Econo Lodge at 27th street. It is only 2 blocks from where the stage is for the beach music festival. We were in a room at ground level on the very end. These fish decorate the walkway from Virginia Beach Blvd. to the boardwalk.

One of our favorite restaurants and always on our list when we vacation in Virginia Beach. I always get an artichoke, a veggie you don't see in many restaurants. We also go to Mahi Ma's - the food is great and they have a band outside every night. I didn't take a lot of pictures this trip, I must do better next time.
