Friday night I made Kun Pao Chicken - very yummy.
Ina's Crunchy Noodle Salad, rice in the rice cooker Amy gave me (it makes very good rice) and I made bread in my machine.
We love eating on our front porch.
Saturday night Ian and Emerson came over to spend the night. We went to the park to go swimming. Our pool is not ready yet. Dave heard from the county and he had to move the pool a foot. He is going to take it down and start over because there are a lot of roots that he needs to get rid of. He still says it will be ready to go by the end of June.
After swimming we went to Cici's Pizza for dinner, then came home to relax.
Dave had gifts to open on Sunday morning. Then we went to church. After church we went to Dave's favorite restaurant for lunch.

Later in the day I made Dave some Lemon Cookies.
Stars for our Star of the Day!
This little lemon juicer is great - better than any electronic gadget you can buy.
I did a little knitting -finally finished the Lucy Bag for my favorite girl - this is before felting. It is huge!
I started a little pumpkin hat for a baby due in September.
The hat is from this book. I have made many of the hats in this book. Love it, great patterns.
I found garden boots at Target for $24.99 and I love them. We were crawling around in the woods picking blackberries on Sunday and I felt a lot better having these on. Aren't they Cute? Black with all those cute color polka dots! Very comfy too.
Look at these - I found them for Meg at Target for $11.00. Amy told me that Meg wants to help in our garden when she comes in July so she needed a pair too. I love them. Now I must find a masculine pair for Alex.
Guess what this is - I found it at the hardware store - a critter trap. The squirrels here are so destructive - they ate the lights on our deck and and tore into our cushions and took out the stuffing for their nests; not to mention the havoc they make on our bird feeders. Guess what - it worked, we have caught 3 - Dave takes them to the park or the woods far from our house.
The yard is looking good. I love watching all the new plants begin to sprout their blooms. This is Cleome.
Our first cucumber.
Blackberries - these grow wild behind the pool and garden and there are a lot this year.
Juicy and sweet.
We should have beets soon.
Sugar snap peas in my favorite bowl. I took some of these to work for my afternoon snack. They are great raw.
Our first Gladiola to bloom.
We have 3 different color hydrangea blooms - these are my favorite.
The Daylillies are doing great this year.
Gigantic Butterfly Bush. Dave wants to cut it back but I like the privacy it provides.
Bee Balm.
ANOTHERVREALLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS WEEKEND -In one month Amy, Paul, Samantha, Alex and Meighan will be home for a visit!!! I can't wait. They will be here for a week. Paul has to take Samantha home on Tuesday after they arrive on Friday. Paul and Amy will head home the next Saturday. The twins will be here for a week, then we will take back them back to St. Louis. I am counting the days.
