The hurricane was a real pain - we didn't have power for 8 days and there was major cleanup in our yard. But, we were very lucky in comparison to others.
We ate supper in the garage...taking advantage of the light whenever we could.
I made chili the day before the storm hit - it was so good. Our last meal at home for the next 7 days.
The pool was bad -it looked black at the bottom = took forever to get out the debris - then the water was light green since the pump couldn't cut on - no power!
We were lucky - no trees fell down, which was a blessing. We could have had it so much worse. The worse part was throwing all of our food out from the fridge and freezer.
